Beardwitched: A Queer Guide to Homemade Magic and Self Care follows a thread of therapeutic mysticism woven throughout the romantic relationship of the three bearded authors. Peery, Schroeder, and Rourke open up about their individual struggles with mental health and how their exploration of the arcane helped them to better care for themselves and each other.
The triad’s writing approaches witchcraft from multiple perspectives, and confronts how it intersects with therapy, art, skepticism, and love throughout their lives. This 28 page zine is a collaborative work containing three personal essays, a sample tarot reading, instructions for six spells, and original illustrations throughout.
